Breakfast Grits Recipe

Recipe

INGREDIENTS


  • 1 cup of SGC Grits
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1/2 cup cheese (optional)


STEPS


  1. In a medium saucepan, add water, milk and salt and bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in grits, cover and reduce heat to low.
  3. Cook on low stirring often for about 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add butter, stirring until melted.
  5. Additional water or milk may be added to produce desired consistency.


Add additional salt and butter if desired to suit your own taste and enjoy this breakfast grits recipe!
